The Greens is more than just a café.
It’s our little oasis of comfort in the heart of the city, located at the Alte Münze. A place to feel closer to nature — surrounded by houseplants, garden greens, and a touch of urban gardening. Seasonal and, whenever possible, regional ingredients come together in a cozy atmosphere that brings a sense of nature into the middle of Berlin.

The Greens’ concept evolves
with the seasons.
From April to September, we open our doors together with the Münzgarten – a small urban garden café right in the city. Depending on availability, we use mainly organic products from regional suppliers and serve specialty coffee roasted here in Berlin. Our kitchen also makes use of freshly harvested vegetables and herbs from the Münzgarten itself. Alongside our consciously curated menu, you’ll also find a handpicked selection of lush indoor plants.

Sustainability has been a guiding principle not only in our menu but also in the design of our interior. A lovingly restored espresso machine, wood paneling salvaged from Berlin apartments, vintage kitchenware from the 1950s, and decorative pieces from local flea markets create a warm, authentic atmosphere.
Our connection to the Alte Münze community and the neighborhood around Molkenmarkt is equally important to us. We make use of donated kitchen tools and flowers, feature a large wall mural by the resident collective Drink&Draw that reflects our love of nature, and regularly host artist and craft workshops open to everyone.
